Kaj the Frog

"My friend Kaj the frog wants to know if it's possible to be nominated as Helix's favorite puppet frog? He really wants to be your best friend. He dosen't think our dog Fie is much of a friend. Fie just wants to eat him I wouldn't like that because Kaj & I have been friends for more than 30 years." (Heidi)

While on holiday in Scotland, Christine found a new friend for Helix. Meet Hamish the Highland Bull.

Bananas T. Dragon

"Bananas was the star prize in a ball-tossing game in the medieval bit of the Alton Towers theme park. Getting the ball into different coloured goblets won different sizes of dragon. I got a ball into the golden goblet in the middle and won the largest size. There was a choice of blue, green or purple dragon, and I chose green. (Initially I was going to get a blue dragon, but a certain woman who just happened to be nearby insisted I go for green. So that's how I got Bananas.)

I'm sure he *would* eat bananas - I haven't tried yet - but he has big tusks which aren't necessary for eating bananas, which made me wonder what a dragon's natural diet is. Upon doing some reading, it suggests he probably should be fed on princesses." (Darren)

Bananas has been gracious enough to offer Helix flying lessons. As soon as Helix grows wings, he will take him up on it!



"I also brought back another dragon, a much smaller red one who doesn't yet have a name. He looks a bit less cheerful than Bananas, however. A bit more pensive." (Darren)
Helix has met many bunnies but they have all been fellow puppets or other stuffed animals. Roxy is the first real rabbit Helix has ever seen! They have a lot in common. Helix has agreed to share his orange Tic-Tacs with Roxy and she has agreed to share her carrots with him. Helix likes to pretend that carrots are the creepy puppet master's fingers! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!

"Roxy likes to nibble things and lick things (people/monster hand puppets) that she likes as a gesture of her affection. I once put a poster of the Sheffield Steelers (my favourite English ice hockey team) in her hutch for her to admire, and she ate it! I tried to take it as a compliment that she liked them too, but it was quite disturbing!" (Ro)

Bungee Monkey

"This is Bungee Monkey. I got him as a birthday present from my brother.  You place your fingers in the pockets on the hands and his arms are elastic.  He's kinda like the Monkey Slingshot, he also has sound effects (He NEVER shuts up, as you can see, he's using my cell phone right now! Probably calling his relatives in the jungle. Do jungles have phones?" (Jessie)

"Right now I work alongside a very cocky hand-puppet named Chicken Lickin' who happens to be a famous punk rock chicken drummer from London.  Sometimes I can't understand him as his cockney accent is so thick!

  His most notable songs, "NO RAIN!", "The sky is falling" and his more introspective "Who's crossin the road?" have become pop classics in Britain but are relatively unknown in the states!  A shame!

Currently, he is supporting his sister, Nan Lickin', in the haze of a heroin jag she succumbed to from "hangin out with the wrong stock"! (Tim)

Cheburashka

"The name of our monster (try to say it!) is Cheburashka - che-boo-rash-ka. There isn't an English translation because it's not a real word in Russian. It's a construction of sounds and nothing more. It is a fluffy, sweet, little monster who is looking for the friends in the kid's cartoons!" (Yuliana)

My robot name is Dr. Zegatron from Zegatropolis, Outer core of the Robot Dominion and member of the "Let's enslave the humans society".

I cannot believe Helix has not met any other robots before. Although, actually he probably has - they have just been disguised as humans. In fact, many of Helix's friends on his website will almost certainaly be robots but will be worried about blowing their cover. Perhaps us robots should make an uneasy alliance with monsters in order to take over the world.

My favorite oil is Castrol GTX. Anything else just doesn't hit the spot and I'm sure you can imagine the embarrassment of squeaky joints. I've seen a robot reduced to tears from the laughter aimed at them for squeaky joints. I don't think Helix should drink oil (unless he is really a robot disguised as a monster). I don't think it would agree with his delicate monster digestive system. (Dr. Zegatron)


Helix may not be able to shoot sticky webs from his paws. And yes, it's true that he might singe his fur if he participated in a lightsaber duel.

Regardless of these shortcomings, Helix does boast a feature that both Spiderman and Yoda lack:

Two mighty, horns!

With his trusty crime-fighting horns, Helix could gore the Green Goblin or skewer a Storm Trooper.

Helix does not need a red suit or big ears to be a superhero. Helix has orange fur and a big nose! Isn't that enough?

"I've attached pictures of my favorite cartoon character, Nicholas Lucifer the Third, also known as The Boss. As you can see, he has horns too, but they are not as nice as yours. Why do I like him? Besides the fact that he's cute in a devilish sort of way, he is also very funny. He has weird ideas about what's good and what's bad, what's scary and not scary. For example, he thinks driving like a maniac and stealing is good, but obeying traffic laws and cake and ice cream are bad.
